The computer room is fully protected with a state-of-the-art FM-200 Clean Agent fire suppression system by Cerberus Pyrotronics, controlled with a MRP-4424 Extinguishing Agent Release Panel. The system is fully automated and also is coupled to a Manual Pull, Manual Abort and two stage alert alarms. All technical personnel have been trained on the operation of this system.
Additionally, the computer room is serviced by dual Best Power FERRUPS UPS (33KVA) systems and those systems are backed up by a 750KVA diesel generator that services the entire building. Finally, the room is environmentally conditioned with two air conditioning units. Our primary unit is a dual compressor Liebert System 3, thirty-ton closed-loop glycol air conditioner and humidifier. The secondary unit is a 3-phased 10 ton AirPac SCAV120 air conditioner.
In addition to the main data center facility in Atlanta, MTI also has a disaster recovery site located at the Dallas InfoMART, a “technology community” catering to bandwidth-intensive companies. With twelve telecom switch companies and easy connectivity to any major carrier, MTI’s disaster site at InfoMART insures any customer can connect using their existing telephone service provider. The highly redundant facility has dual municipal power grids, battery and generator backup, and redundant Internet connectivity.
Our overall facility’s physical security is modeled using HIPAA (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) security guidelines. Visitors must check in and are accompanied by an employee while in our space.
The computer room is secured at all times via an electronic key fob system. All admissions are recorded for demand review by security and/or management.
